Mmmmm. Yarn.

Yep. I've been so good, holding off buying new yarn. Until this weekend.

Jen started my demise with her mention that she *might* order yarn from Elann. Hmmm. Perhaps a skein of Regia could sneak in so I wouldn't have to spend $5.50 shipping one ball of sock yarn. Yep. Cannot wait to knit this up. Love the colors and the stripes it will make.

And then I *might* have had to stop by one of the LYSs to grab another ball of Calmer for NBAT (which has not be restarted yet), and they *might* have still had all of their yarn on sale, and they *might* have had just enough of the yarn called for in the pattern in the color that I love. I *might* have had to have it.

Shall become this. Love it.

Finally, my mom-in-law took me to the new LYS (Yarns Ewenique) for my mother's day gift.

I haven't decided what it shall become yet, but it will be pretty. And it *might* join the lace relay team, if I can get some things off the needles first.

While at the store, they mentioned that the patterns I had been wanting had come in. So freaking cute!

I think the hedgehog pattern is the best use of fun fur I've seen in a long time. And the sheep are just adorable.

Sadly, all of this will be waiting in the wings for a while (except for maybe the sheep because I *might* not be able to resist them), until I finish some things up. I'm resisting. Can't you tell?

  1. Wah! I LOVE Felted Tweed. When my LYS put it on sale I bought every ball. It's like I'm collecting it or something.

  2. No way!!! I was just shopping for yarn today to knit that very sweater from Vintage knits! I ended up getting a chunkier yarn and so won't be knitting that "very sweater" but hopefully one very similar (my husband bought me knitting pattern design software for my b-day and I thought this might be a good way to break it in ;0)

I am so glad someone else is having trouble holding off on the new projects! I am trying so hard to finish stuff up first, but don't know how long I can hold out! Good luck to you! (and if you're not going to resist, that hedgehog is a mighty cute way to start!).

  8. I've been in love with the hedgehog pattern for some time, but I've never seen the sheep pattern before. That is just the sweetest thing! Must make me some. The yarn is heavenly and yummy. Can you believe it, I haven't been to Yarns Ewenique yet. They don't let me out of the office often.
