I learned how to focus the camera!

Aren't y'all lucky?

Aren't y'all lucky?

I am loving this! I had myself contorted into all sorts of positions trying to take that kitchener stitch photo. Yikes. But so pretty!

They just finished drying, and will be off in the mail tomorrow! Just in time to sign up for round three on Tuesday!

I have several inches done on my red scarf (after ripping and adding more stitches and reknitting), but no pictures yet. I'm doing 2x2 ribbing, so it's a *bit* boring, and in my attempt for some excitement I worked on the sewing project I wanted to finish, but can't finish it until I go to JoAnn's tomorrow. So I picked up my Jaywalker. And I can't put it down. So far the fit seems to be good. I'm in the gusset, which I know I just complained about the other day, but today it's not bothering me. Weird. A short row heel was suggested, and I've done one once (my ankle socks that got ripped), but I worry about the durability of them. I've heard that heel flaps hold up better.

Today was a lovely day for knitting - chilly and rainy! Finally!, though it has made our backyard a mud pit as all the grass is beyond dead. So much fun to de-muddify the dogs every time they have to pee.

I finished my third book for the year - I promise reviews this week! On to Mrs. Dalloway, my copy was dug up today, so I'm ready to go! Now to dig up the yarn for Flora to knit with it.

  1. I finished Mrs. D. before even starting Flora. Can I still consider it a thematically-related project? Sheesh ...

  2. The socks look great! Sorry it's been so long since I visited, but I've been trying to catch up on a months' worth of blog reading.

p.s. our Yahoo group moderator did get a warning, and changed our group name to SnB. I guess we'll see what happens...

p.p.s. I'm doing the knitting olympics too (Team Cable). I must be insane.

Pretty socks! Trying to take pictures of your own feet is fun, huh? I was attempting this out on my balcony recently so I could get some natural lighting. If any of my neighbors saw me, they must think I'm pretty strange.
