Fiesta

Sadly, all of my pictures are trapped on my camera, which has dead batteries, so while they charge, I thought we could introduce a new sock-in-progress who has yet to see good blog time.

This is the beginnings of Lucy Neatby's Fiesta Socks. I'm knitting these via a class at my LYS. They are quite an interesting knit - the cuff is knit lengthwise and seamed, with stitches picked up for the rest of the leg. There are bobbles, stranded colorwork and other interesting designs. I think I'll be working on them in fits and starts, but I'll keep y'all posted. Here I'm almost done with the row of bobbles.

There aren't a whole lot of these finished socks out there in blogland. I found some here, and here.

I hope to have lovely pictures tomorrow to show you all of our escapades. Oh, and all the knitting? Yeah, I don't ski, so I have lots 'o knitting time. :)

I made a pair of Fiesta Socks 2 years ago while on a trip across country. I LOVE them - and boy, do people oooh and aaahh when they see them - non knitters think you are a knitting genius!
    Have Fun!!!
