Let me preface this entry by telling you about how I spend my summer. I teach at a science school for preschool kiddos for four weeks of my summer. One of the sessions is about reptiles. We learn about snakes, turtles, geckos and green iguanas. The center is lucky enough to have a green iguana of their own, named Goliath. he gets to visit our classroom for two days each summer.
He is a fascinating animal, though he can be dangerous with his large claws and spikey tail. Learn more about him here.
I apologize for not having better pictures - these were taken for my teaching portfolio, and I haven't been up to the center yet this year to take new ones.
And he's "green" so he totally counts for project spectrum too!
Wow - he's impressive. An ex-boyfriend had an iguana that was so hateful and mean it would whip the side of the cage with it's tail anytime you came near it!
