One of my favorite things about fall is the new fall yarns. Especially the sock yarns (aren't y'all surprised?). I may have had to buy some, and hubbo may have picked some out.
For me - new Lana Grossa.
For hubbo - new Classic Elite Alpaca Sox. Aren't you shocked at the originality of his color choice? Totally different from the grey pair I'm currently knitting him.
I haven't cast on for these yet, but they are both calling to me.
In other sock news, it seems that Socktoberfest is nearly upon us. Last year I had a great time, and ended up with two new pairs of socks finished. This year my plan is "single sock-toberfest." I've got plenty of pairs of socks that have one sock finished or nearly finished. Plus, I'm hoping that by knitting wool socks I can will fall to arrive. Think it'll work? What are your plans for Socktoberfest?
Oooohh, love those both!! For Socktoberfest, I'm hoping to knit a pair for me, and a pair for my best friend for her birthday (Nov 1) or Christmas (if I don't get them finished by Nov 1).
ReplyDeleteoooht he aplapca sox is such a pretty color
ReplyDeleteand if it's alpaca i should check into this cause my feet are always blocks of ice, and if i could knit socks out of it that would be good. since my blue skied bulky scarf i loving call my EFF YOU WINTER! scarf makes me sweat when it's below zero and the wind blows off the lake (chicago) this is something i should investigate!
single socktoberfest is in my plans, too!
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the Lana Grossa are awesome. The perfect fashion accessory for the dark winter - bright socks!
ReplyDeleteI love the Lana yarn! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteFor socktoberfest, I'm aiming to finish the socks for "sockin' it to Maggie", and the Raiders spiraling socks. I think that's all I can humanly finish in a month.
Oooh, sweet! Great colors.
ReplyDeleteOh no. Why did you have to mention new colors and show Meilenweit?! *whimper*
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you selected. I have some UFO's left from last year to finish.

Hmmm, those are really pretty sock yarns. I especially like the pink stuff. Good luck with all your sweaters! I am always amazed with how much knitting you do!
