I've had to cut and make more half-square triangles for the quilt-a-long.
I've got a few crazy busy weeks coming up, so I decided to cut the fabrics for Ben and Ellie's big bed quilts, which will be simple patchwork-just what I'll need when I am too tired to think but need to sew!
The fabrics for my nephews big boy bed quilt arrived today, so I need to make my templates and start cutting that out as well!
And finally, I started quilting my Simply Color quilt, and I can't decide if I want quilting lines through every square, or every other square (as it is now). What do you all think?
Linking up with Lee!
I think every other square, that way it doesn't get too overwhelming with all those beautiful colors
ReplyDeleteI like what you have, but it depends on how "soft" you want this quilt to be. Less quilting=softer, and more quilting=sturdier. Another consideration is the size (I don't really have a clue, but I'm thinking it's smaller). And lastly--are you just ready to be done?
ReplyDeleteI would trend to quilting every square, but that's just my preference. My quilts hang around for a very long time and I need them to stay together.
I loved seeing all your projects--there's something so nice about the possibilities in a stack of fabrics!

I think the lines in every other line looks really good.
ReplyDeleteI finally have all of the half square triangles made for the quilt top I am working on during sewing club at church.
Phew that is a lot of HSTs! I had to make 480 for the quilt top I just finished, but made them one block at a time. Your Just Colors quilt is so pretty, I think it looks good now.
